This project was a successful collaboration with the architect and contractor. The homeowners wanted to renovate their dated and traditional kitchen and family area in a modern aesthetic within the context of a traditional Nantucket shingle-style home. The client was concerned about the 2 styles mixing in an appropriate way. Studio 360 was able to achieve a common language to successfully meld the new renovation within the existing home.
Many walls were removed to open up and make the kitchen and family room area connected and enhance the view to the gorgeous rear yard and pool. The style reflects the client's desire for a modern and slick space with shiny and clean interiors. We installed a herringbone wood floor and designed sleek custom cabinetry to connect to a new pantry and mudroom access from the existing garage.
On the second floor, we created 2 separate his/her master baths and closets each to reflect the style of the user. In the basement, we created a state-of-the-art home gym with glass walls, a new wet bar, and a hangout space for the 3 children.
